We only walked a small section of the route on the first visit. On the second visit to Ma Tian Ling, we took a new route and finally experienced the real Ma Tian Ling! 🚉Transportation tips: It is recommended to join a group tour. Departing from Beijing, the one-way trip takes about 4.5 hours. 💰Average cost: The group fee is about 10💰 per person. 🗓Itinerary: Starting from Ma Tian Ling Village, passing through Dongdianziliang, and ending at Dongzhuangzi Village. The crossing route is 14.77 km in total, with an elevation gain of 300 meters. The scenery is good and suitable for beginners. First, climb a few small hills, which can be a bit tiring. Rest and replenish at the entrance to the pine forest. At the entrance to the pine forest, you can take a detour to the north or south. To the north, you can take photos of the cliffs, and to the south, you can pass through the pine forest where there is a huge rock that is particularly photogenic. Then walk through the gentle pine forest, and soon you will reach the saddle, which is particularly photogenic. After passing through another section of pine forest, the entire route starts to descend. There are many loose stones along the way, making it very easy to slip. At the bottom of the mountain, you will encounter cows and sheep. You can get close to the cows for photos, and there is a small hill full of sheep. My favorite is the stream. After the rain, the stream in Ma Tian Ling is abundant and very clear. The route on the second visit was indeed very different! 📝Tips: 1. Ma Tian Ling is far from Beijing. During the hike, make sure to walk quickly on easy sections, otherwise, you will return to Beijing too late. On the second visit, we departed at around 18:00 and arrived in Beijing at 22:35. 2. Ma Tian Ling has started charging fees. If you join a group tour, make sure to negotiate with the locals. Group buying will be much cheaper per person. 3. Be sure to protect yourself from the sun. Bring a magic scarf and a sun hat, and apply sunscreen under your clothes. The sun's rays are very strong on sunny days. 4. It is best to wear knee pads throughout the descent. There are many loose stones after the rain.
