Yosemite National Park - Extremely Beautiful National Park Recommended El Capitan The 3,000-foot (914-meter) high El Capitan, which means "chief of the rocks" in Indian, is the largest granite monolith in the world. The "Dawn Wall" of this rock is famous for its steepness and danger, and is known as the most difficult climbing route in the world. The facade is almost 90° and extremely smooth. Since its first ascent in 1958, it has gradually become the Mecca of rock climbers around the world. At the tunnel viewing point, you can take photos of El Capitan, Half Dome and Bridal Veil Falls. After passing the tunnel point, you can drive along the winding mountain road and park your car on the roadside at the foot of El Capitan. Visitors either stop to gaze up, or sit on camping chairs and gaze at the huge rocks and relax. The 914-meter-high, smooth, flat cliff is awe-inspiring.
