I took a day trip to "Kiroro Snow World" in Akaigawa Village, Hokkaido! It's just about a 60-minute drive from Sapporo, making it super accessible. The resort boasts incredibly light and fluffy powder snow, truly showcasing the fun of "Japow." Every time fresh snow falls, the courses are renewed, and skiing on the slopes under clear skies felt absolutely magical! With a total of 23 courses, the resort offers plenty of off-piste and tree-run options. The gondolas and high-speed lifts are comfortable, allowing you to efficiently ski from the summit to the base. For families and beginners, the snow park is perfect, featuring sledding and tubing activities that kids will absolutely love! Additionally, Kiroro has two hotels on-site, complete with hot springs and an ice bar, offering a well-rounded resort experience even after skiing. The combination of abundant snow, convenience, and diverse activities makes Kiroro ideal not only for powder enthusiasts but also for families and groups of friends. Next time, I’d love to stay overnight and enjoy the hot springs at a leisurely pace.
