I thought Wuzhen was already beautiful, until I came here…

This is my second time visiting Yibin Lizhuang Ancient Town this year. This time I spent a whole day exploring here. I didn’t expect it to have such a rich history and cultural heritage. What’s even more amazing is how it looks after the lights come on at night. For a reverse trip around Chengdu during the National Day holiday, this is a great destination. - 📍 Location: Yibin Lizhuang Ancient Town 🚄 High-speed rail: Chengdu — Yibin East 🎫 Ticket: Free After getting off, take a taxi for about ten kilometers to reach here. - ✔️ Scenic Spot Highlights 🍁 Deep historical and cultural heritage: You can visit the old site of Tongji University, the former residence of Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin, the China Lizhuang Cultural War of Resistance Exhibition Hall, and the Spiral Hall. After touring, you’ll find this ancient town truly has its own unique character, not just a typical commercialized ancient town. 🍁 The night view here is really stunning. After the lights come on, it feels completely different from the daytime. There are gondola boat night tours and various immersive and exciting nighttime performances. I heard there will be special programs during the National Day holiday. 🍁 Authentic local life vibe, with even a middle school inside. Cobblestone streets, old teahouses, traditional distilleries… The blend of local life and the scenic area makes you want to come back next time. - ✔️ Photo Spots ❶ Main photo spots are located at the South Plaza of Moon Field. ❷ The red wall with the large characters “Lizhuang” and the bookshelf are at Zhilan Book House. ❸ The infinity pool overlooking the ancient town’s night view is at Guilunfang. Using Zhuangmen as the central axis, on the left is the Moon Field scenic area, where the night view is beautiful and photogenic, especially during the blue hour at sunset. - ✔️ Notes 👉 It gets cooler in autumn, so check the weather and bring a jacket and umbrella. 👉 Don’t miss the night view and performances at Lizhuang Ancient Town. 👉 Of course, you have to try the local specialties: white cake, ranmian noodles, and boiled pork. The flavors at Pangliyuan and Laijinyuxuan are very nice. 👉 After finishing all the sightseeing, it will be past 9 PM, so it’s recommended to stay overnight inside. I stayed at Guilunfang and had a great experience. Their infinity pool offers a wonderful atmosphere and happiness, overlooking the ancient town at sunset. 👉 The scenic spots inside are great for photo shoots; Linglongyue Hanfu Museum is also nice. 👉 Lizhuang Ancient Town is quite large, so wear a comfortable pair of shoes.
