A museum that reflects the human history and cultural arts of Yantai

🏛️ The Yantai City Museum was established in 1958, originally located at the Fujian Guild Hall, which is now the Yantai City Folk Museum. The museum I visited is the new building located at 61 Nanda Street. 🎞️ The new building is at the westernmost end of the Cultural Square in the center of Yantai City, with a construction area of 17,000 square meters. The six characters of 'Yantai City Museum' were inscribed by Guo Moruo, showcasing the development of the Yantai region from the Old Stone Age over tens of thousands of years. 🏺 Entering the Yantai City Museum, the collection of historical relics is rich and colorful, including both inherited art treasures and historical heavyweights unearthed through archaeological excavations. Coupled with advanced scientific and technological means, the museum presents the distinctive regional characteristics of Yantai's marine culture, Laiyi culture, and bronze culture, among other multicultural elements. It is a comprehensive modern museum that centrally reflects the human history and cultural arts of Yantai.
