Before the summer vacation crowds arrive, with the gentle breeze and perfect sunshine, my bestie and I headed to Yangshuo for a healing getaway. The homestay’s third-floor swimming pool was a delightful surprise, complete with children’s floaties. The rooms feature smart controls for convenience, along with a bathtub, fridge, and washing machine—all beautifully and meticulously arranged. My favorite part was the large garden full of roses. Sitting in the yard, gazing at the blue sky and white clouds, was pure bliss. We rented electric bikes to ride along the Yulong River trail, feeling the gentle caress of the wind. We visited the Yulong River Scenic Area and Ten-Mile Gallery, enjoyed a bamboo raft drift, and savored the tranquility of the mountains and water. At dusk, we waited for the stunning sunset at Gongnong Bridge, where the golden light spilled over the river, painting everything like a masterpiece.
