Myanmar is not usually a top choice for travelers, but I am glad I made this trip. You ask me if it's fun? I think it depends on your definition of "fun", but for me, this little episode in life has some spiritual significance. Some would say it's a reminder of how lucky we are by observing the misfortunes of others. But this is incorrect. It should be "how to change the status quo so that everyone can be better off." We all have a choice to do the right thing. Surprising things about Myanmar: 1. The capital of Myanmar is not Yangon. 2. Almost 100% of people have no last name. 3. Three things that could bankrupt your store if you sell them: shoes, shorts, and sunscreen. 4. Myanmar was once very rich in modern times. 5. Burmese people love betel nuts to an unimaginable degree.
