3.5-Hour High-Speed Rail from Qingdao | Yancheng Family Trip Itinerary

Day 1⃣️: 3.5-hour high-speed rail from Qingdao, arriving in Yancheng at 10:27 Pick up your rental car at the train station. ✅ Zhulin Restaurant: Recommended dishes include shrimp and chaff wontons, fried spare ribs, and Zhulin fish soup noodles. Xu Sanma's jelly is not tasty. Each floor has photo spots. You can write letters to the future at the post office. ✅ China Sea Salt Museum: A must-visit museum when traveling with elementary school students. ✅ Yancheng Water Street: Very watery and not fun. Besides taking photos with the "Yancheng" sign, it's pretty useless. ✅ Yan + Mai Book Collection: Beautiful for photos. 🍴 Eight Bowls Restaurant: All the dishes are delicious; order anything. 🏨 Caofangzi Hotel: The starry sky room is amazing! Some suggestions: 1⃣️ The hotel provides tickets to Caofangzi Paradise. Be sure to set aside time to visit. 2⃣️ Before you check in, you can call the front desk to ask about the schedule of family activities. There are usually activities during the day and at night on holidays, such as dramas, readings, book clubs, and literature classes. 3⃣️ The hotel has an exhibition hall about Cao Wenxuan. It would be better if the children read Cao Wenxuan's "Caofangzi" beforehand. Day 2⃣️ ✅ Caofangzi Paradise: Caofangzi Paradise is not big, and you can walk around. However, if it's hot, you can rent a scooter for CNY 80 per hour. There aren't many rides in the park. There is an air castle for small children, and elementary school students can experience activities such as rice planting, printing, and grinding tofu (at their own expense, CNY 20–30 per activity). ✅ Andersen Fairy Tale Paradise: We bought night tickets. It was less crowded, fun, and suitable for children. 🏨 Yancheng Red-Crowned Crane Fragrant Grassland Resort Hotel: A bit far, but luckily we rented a car. Day 3⃣️ ✅ Red-Crowned Crane Wetland Park: The park is very large. If you only want to see the release of the cranes, walk for about ten minutes after entering the park. (Be sure to find out the release time in advance.) If you want to visit the wetland park, you can take a sightseeing bus for CNY 15 per person. The terminal is at the release location. After the release, walk to the exit. You can also rent electric cars or bicycles in the park. I don't recommend going around in a circle; there are too many mosquitoes. We rented an electric car and drove around in a circle for over CNY 100, and we were almost eaten alive by mosquitoes. Everyone had several bites. ✅ Yancheng Red-Crowned Crane Fragrant Grassland Resort Hotel: It has a small soaking pool, and you can feed small animals such as squirrels, alpacas, deer, and pigs. ✅ Zhuxi Ancient Town: The only existing ancient town in Yancheng, it carries more than 1,000 years of history and vicissitudes and has witnessed the changes and development of Yancheng. Zhuxi Ancient Town has crisscrossing streets and lanes, six rivers, nine streets, eighteen alleys, and twenty-four bridges, all of which are steeped in stories, like "solidified poems."
