Yamanaka Lake Review – The Silence Beside Mount Fuji That Doesn’t Need Any Description 🗻🌊🫧 Lake Yamanaka-ko is the largest of the five Fuji Lakes, located to the northeast of Mount Fuji. It may not have as many bustling shops or tourist attractions as Kawaguchiko, but it gives a sense of true “peace”. 🌅 What makes this place so lovable is the image of Mount Fuji reflected on the water surface on a clear day — nothing more than that, just a still, beautiful and clear Fuji that seems to be within reach with the eyes. Especially in the morning, when the soft golden light shines down, the water surface sparkles slightly, and the gentle waves look like the mountain is breathing. 👣 There are long and quiet walking paths and cycling trails around the lake, perfect for those who want to be alone and walk without a destination. Sometimes there are flowers along the way, sometimes there are waterfowl floating still in the middle of the lake, a beautiful but emotional scene. 🚤 If you want to see the view up close, there are duck boats, sightseeing boats, or even kayaking activities to try out lightly. But for those who just sit on the shore, sip warm coffee and quietly look at Fuji, that might be enough… there’s nothing else to do. 🍂 Especially in May to early summer, the weather is nice, the trees are starting to turn green, and some areas still have late-season cherry blossoms. It’s the time when the nature around the lake is bright but not crowded. ✨ Yamanaka is not an exciting place to visit, but it’s “a quiet place with Mt. Fuji.” It’s like spending the whole day talking to nature without saying a word. P.S. The Park Cafe’s Matcha is sooo delicious 💚
