When you come to Xuzhou, you must take a stroll through Huilongwo. Every brick and tile exudes tranquility. Ancient alleys, blue bricks and gray tiles, carved eaves, and various stone slabs. The current Huilongwo Historical and Cultural District is a complex area based on folk customs and integrates fashion and leisure. The district was originally built during the Qing Dynasty, featuring a typical layout of traditional Xuzhou residential buildings, with the oldest houses being over 200 years old. According to the Xuzhou City Gazetteer, Huilongwo got its name because the terrain is low and concave, causing rainwater to flow back and accumulate, making it hard to drain. It was colloquially called "Huiliuwo" (returning vortex), which was later phonetically beautified to "Huilongwo" (returning dragon nest). Despite the scorching sun, strolling through the district and changing scenes step by step brings great joy.
