Enjoying Fuxi Mountain Without Driving

Fuxi Mountain is the best travel destination for the summer of 2024, offering a refreshing escape with hiking, Instagram-worthy photo spots, and natural scenery. Originally planned as a 3-day, 2-night trip, I extended my stay by one more night because the cliff hotel was so amazing. I traveled alone from Zhengzhou without driving, and this post is mainly to inform friends who don't drive that you can still enjoy Fuxi Mountain without a car. If conditions permit, I highly recommend staying at the cliff hotel in Fuxi Mountain. Built on the red stone forest, the hotel's hardware facilities are excellent. The infinity heated pool is about 10 meters long and 100 centimeters deep. Although not large, it is a favorite attraction for both adults and children. In the summer, you can swim until 10:00 PM, and there are lifeguards and plenty of large towels available. Even if you don't swim, soaking in the water and enjoying the night view of the mountains below is a great pleasure. The only regret about the hotel is that the front desk staff need to improve their knowledge of the scenic area. They should be familiar with the main attractions like Sanquan Lake, Yunshang Ranch, Xiaoma Plateau, and Fuxi Mountain Canyon, including their relative locations, distances, ticket prices, and how to arrange your time. During my four-day stay, I got the most information about Fuxi Mountain from a lovely girl on duty at the observatory. Thanks to her, I was able to visit the main attractions like the Grand Canyon, Xiaoma Plateau, Red Stone Forest, and Sanquan Lake in one day. From Zhengzhou East Station Long-distance Bus Station, you can take a bus to either Xinmi West Station or East Station. There is a bus every hour, and the ticket costs 18 yuan with a travel time of 1.5 hours. Since it wasn't the weekend, the bus was not crowded, and the ride was very comfortable. In Xinmi, you can use Didi to call a car to go up the mountain, which costs about 60 yuan by meter. Based on the hotel's suggestion and previous travelers' experiences, you can arrange with the driver to pick you up when you leave, but the cost will be higher. Since I stayed at the cliff hotel, there is a shuttle bus between the hotel and Yunshang Ranch. Later, I used the shuttle bus for all my transportation needs on the mountain and to go down, which was very convenient and reliable. The cost to go down the mountain is 120 yuan per car. The hotel is close to a snack street at the entrance of Yunshang Ranch, where you can buy noodles, dumplings, barbecue, and other foods to take back to the hotel. Since I was alone, I kept my meals simple for lunch and dinner. Many people have already written about other local travel tips, so for those who want to visit without driving, don't worry about transportation. You can travel freely. Although it takes 3-4 hours to walk through Fuxi Mountain Grand Canyon, I highly recommend it. It's worth it. There are many beautiful waterfalls along the way, making the walk enjoyable. You can take photos along the way, and although there are some ups and downs, it's not too tiring. You can also take off your shoes and cool off in the stream.
