Wild Slides and Big Wows at Kuche Grand Canyon in Xinjiang

#chinatravel If you ever find yourself wandering through Xinjiang and want to feel tiny in the coolest way possible, definitely check out the Kuche Grand Canyon. This place is insane. The rock formations are all jagged and twisty like some kind of alien movie set. We went super early to beat the crowds and it was totally worth it. The light hits the canyon walls just right and makes everything glow red and orange. You walk through these super narrow paths where you literally have to squeeze sideways. It’s like nature’s own obstacle course. There’s a bit of climbing and ducking involved so wear decent shoes and maybe skip the big backpack. Also bring water because it gets pretty warm. Honestly it was one of the most unreal spots I’ve seen in China. If you’re into hiking or just want a wild backdrop for your pics this place will not disappoint. Total hidden gem.
