Bawang Mountain, also known as Bowang Mountain, is located in Bawangshan Town, Xingwen County, Yibin City, Sichuan Province. It is one of the important places where the ancient Bo people lived and thrived. Here is a detailed introduction: Natural Scenery • Mountain and Water Scenery: It is a karst landform with a core scenic area of 18.2 square kilometers and the main peak, Heimaoding, at an altitude of 1,180 meters. The mountain forest is lush, and five streams run through the mountain gate valley, forming many waterfalls of different shapes, such as the undulating Mengxi Waterfall and the Longquan Waterfall. • Caves and Strange Stones: Feiwudong Cave is spectacular and unique, with stalactites standing inside. There are also karst caves such as Daodong Cave, with various strange rock formations and underground rivers, which, together with the surrounding mountains and water, form a series of wonderful pictures. Cultural Landscape • Bo People Relics: The mountain preserves battlefield relics such as the Dazhai Gate, Xiaozhai Gate, ancient city walls, and ancient castles built by the Bo people. Zhaqi Mountain is the forward position of the Bo people's stronghold, and there are giant stone holes for flagpoles and ancient stone stoves for beacon fires on the top of the mountain. • Cultural Display: The Bawang Mountain Park Museum was built in 2006, displaying geological specimens, fossils, and ancient Bo people's production and living utensils, introducing and displaying the natural landscape and cultural culture of Bawang Mountain from all angles.
