Chen Family Ancestral Hall in Banancun Village, Xingguo County, Jiangxi Province.

Banancun Village Chen Family Ancestral Hall was first built during the Yongle period of the Ming dynasty. It has a three-bay, two-courtyard layout and was renovated in 1898. There is a square well in front of the ancestral hall, known as the "Official Seal Well." The ancestral hall faces east and covers an area of about 432.89 square meters. It is a brick and wood structure with a gable roof, fireproof gable walls, and a small blue tile roof. On October 6, 1934, the First Red Army Corps handed over the defense of the area from Xingguo City to Gaoxingwei to the Fifth Red Army Corps. The corps, with more than 19,800 people (including the headquarters, excluding the 15th Division), led by Corps Commander Lin Biao, Political Commissar Nie Rongzhen, Chief of Staff Zuo Quan, and Director of the Political Department Zhu Rui, secretly withdrew to the Zhuba and Hongmen areas south of Xingguo City for rest and reorganization. The corps headquarters was stationed at the Chen Family Ancestral Hall in Banancun Village, facing the former site of the Banancun Military Conference of the Central Bureau of the Soviet Area of the Communist Party of China and the former residence of General Chen Qihan, less than 100 meters away. They left Xingguo on October 9 and broke through in the direction of Yudu to begin the Long March. It is a key cultural relic protection unit in Xingguo County.
