The beauty of Xinchang

The beautiful sceneries of Xinchang in Shaoxing must be explored on foot. Together with my family, we embarked on the Hanfei River hiking route, known as the ultimate parent-child route in the Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Shanghai area. We started from the entrance of Xiazhou Village and walked all the way to Daotuobu! The entire journey is about ten kilometers. It takes roughly 3-4 hours (it might be slower with a three-and-a-half-year-old child). The scenery along the way is filled with peculiar rocks and is quite spectacular! However, the difficulty of this parent-child hike is much greater than that of the Anshan Ancient Trail, especially the Daotuobu section, which is quite dangerous and steep. Nevertheless, the views are still very rewarding. Daotuobu attracts many people because of its shape; it looks like an upside-down boot, and also resembles Peppa Pig! It indeed has great visual appeal! This section of the path is quite steep, and it can get slippery after the rain. There's also a small waterfall along the way, which reminds me a bit of Enshi.
