Qionghai·Summer Solstice·Enjoying the Cool Breeze

Today is the Summer Solstice, which for us living in the Northern Hemisphere, is also the day with the longest daylight hours. Traveling from Chengdu to the shores of Qionghai in Xichang to escape the summer heat and humidity, one finds a cooler and more comfortable environment. I am grateful for the diverse wonders that nature provides, and I cherish the leisure of retired life before me. A life of simplicity and contentment, a happiness that is straightforward and uncomplicated. Idling by the shores of Qionghai in Xichang, admiring the sunrise and sunset by the lake, watching groups of visitors stroll by, observing children playing and splashing in the water, smelling the fragrant lotus flowers by Qionghai, feeling the pleasant temperature and the gentle breeze, savoring the taste of simple tea and plain food, enjoying the tranquility and ease of a peaceful life, and feeling contentment and joy beyond measure...
