You can line up at the cable car entrance as early as 7:30 to go up. Staying on the mountain is expensive. More importantly, Huangling is now full of NPCs; if you stay on the mountain and get up early, the staff are not yet working and the drying props for autumn are not set up. At 7:30, I watched the NPCs clock in and take the cable car up to start work. 2. Among the free ancient villages, I like Sanyanqiao and Qingyuan. Sanyanqiao (P2) is in an open grassland, which feels a bit desolate and lonely this season. Qingyuan (P1) is a sudden clearing after winding around the mountains, a very original and natural Peach Blossom Land. 3. From Sanyanqiao to Chaguan, take Wuyuan Rainbow Road No.1. The mountains and clear streams surround the town (P3-4). Along the way, you pass many small villages with breathtaking scenery: P5 Lukeng Village, P6 Chaguan, P7 Zhang Village. 4. Xiangao Ancient City is a free attraction that is surprisingly good. The night view is beautiful, the design is reasonable, and there are performances (P8). 5. Finally, I recommend accommodation at Shan Er Qi in Huangling. The owner is enthusiastic, offers shuttle service to the cable car, and the rooms are nice with great balcony views (P11-12). I also recommend the restaurant "Jiang’s Farmhouse Cuisine," where I ate for two consecutive days and all the dishes were delicious.
