Wuyuan Rapeseed Flower Viewing｜A Stunning Spring Intertwined with Ancient Villages and Flower Seas

🌼In the springtime in Wuyuan, rapeseed flowers bloom across the mountains, fields, and ridges, creating a picturesque scene with the ancient Hui-style architecture. The white walls and black tiles appear even more rustic and elegant against the backdrop of golden flowers. Strolling through Fengshan Village, the air is filled with the fragrance of rapeseed flowers. Ancient pagodas, old villages, stone bridges, and flowing water weave together to create a beautiful spring scene that is truly captivating. 🏠Attraction Introduction Fengshan Village has a long history, dating back over 1,030 years. Most of the villagers have the last name Zha. Since Zha Yu moved to Haining, his descendants have prospered, excelling in imperial examinations and enjoying considerable prestige, known for their "renowned ministers" and "literary gardens." They have achieved great success both at home and abroad, leaving a lasting impact. They have always been a prominent family in the area and are also the ancestral home of the famous writer Jin Yong. 📷Highlights 1. Ancient Pagoda: Known as the Fengshan Longtian Pagoda, it stands beside Zhexi at the entrance of Fengshan Village. Built during the Ming Dynasty, the white pagoda has a brick and stone structure, standing over 30 meters tall. It has six sides and seven stories, hence it is also called the Seven-Story Pagoda. It is now a provincial-level cultural relic protection unit. 2. Ancient Ancestral Hall: Also known as the "Xiaoyi Shrine," it was built in the third year of the Kangxi reign of the Qing Dynasty (1664). Free parking is available in the open space at the entrance. The remaining gatehouse, Xiaoyi Shrine, and sleeping hall are constructed with grand materials and feature exquisite carvings. The private tour experience is excellent. 🌼Flower Viewing Tips 1. Rapeseed Flower Distribution: The rapeseed flowers in Fengshan Village are concentrated at the village entrance and at the other end of the village, near the ancestral hall, where there are two large rapeseed fields. The houses in between are similar to those in other villages in Wuyuan. You can stop by for a while, but be sure to walk the entire length of the village. 2. Photo Tips: This was my favorite village during my trip to Wuyuan. There were almost no tourists, admission was free, and the villagers were very friendly. You can go directly into the giant rapeseed flower sea at the village entrance. The rapeseed flowers, ancient pagoda, and houses make for great photos, whether you're capturing people or scenery. 3. Rapeseed Flower Blooming Season: The rapeseed flowers in Wuyuan bloom throughout March and April. Some villages have a first and second blooming period, so don't worry about missing out. Don't hesitate, set off now and you'll be able to see the Huizhou ancient villages amidst a sea of rapeseed flowers. 🚄Transportation High-speed Rail: Wuyuan Station. From the high-speed rail station, you can choose to hire a car or rent a car to reach Fengshan Village. 1. You can book a reliable car on the "Trip.com car rental platform" for a safe and worry-free experience. 2. Fengshan Village is located on the northern tourist route of Wuyuan. If you hire a car, you can also visit other attractions along the way, such as Likeng Ancient Village.
