#springitinerary I spent two amazing days in Wuxi, and I absolutely fell in love with this city! It’s got that perfect mix of fewer crowds and stunning scenery. If you’re planning a quick getaway, here’s a relaxed and picturesque itinerary to explore the best of Wuxi. 🌟 Day 1: Explore the Serenity of Taihu Lake and Nanchan Temple Morning: Start your day with a visit to Nanchan Temple. The temple offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for soaking in the history and spirituality of the area. It’s not too crowded, making it a relaxing start. Afternoon: Head over to Yuantouzhu (Taihu Lake Turtle Head Isle). Even after the cherry blossom season, the area remains beautiful and tranquil. The ideal time to visit is around sunset for that golden glow. 🍃 Route: Enter from the Changshan Gate and take a 500-meter walk or hop on a free shuttle bus to reach the main area. Highlights: Cherry Blossom Valley (still a few late blossoms, plus cute wind chimes on the trees), the scenic Long Spring Bridge, and the picturesque lakeside grass lawns. Enjoy the beautiful views and take plenty of photos! 📸 Evening: As the sun sets, head to Liyuan Garden, which is lovely to stroll through in the late afternoon. It’s calm and offers a serene vibe. Day 2: Wuxi’s Ancient Charm & Canal Side Magic Morning: Visit Huishan Ancient Town. It’s much larger than expected and full of charm. Stop by Jichang Garden, a beautifully designed, quiet garden that’s perfect for wandering. The local snacks in the ancient town are a must-try, too! 🍡 Afternoon: Head to Nanchang Street by the Qingming Bridge on the ancient Grand Canal. The area is bustling, but still not too crowded, especially on weekdays. It's full of quaint shops where you can buy souvenirs or simply window shop. It’s perfect for a relaxed stroll.
