Wuxi Day Trip Guide｜Feed Seagulls, Visit Ancient Towns, and Ride Cable Cars

On the first weekend of 2025, we came to the first stop of our short trip - Wuxi, a city selected by the Spring Festival Gala. 🚗Itinerary: Drive from Changzhou ➡️ Seagull Spot ①: Shuijingfang, Lihu Light ➡️ Seagull Spot ②: Lihu Bridge Park ➡️ Huishan Ancient Town ➡️ Xihui Park 📍Lihu Lake ✅No need to spend money to squeeze with people at Yuantouzhu, you can feed seagulls for free by Lihu Lake. ✅Arrived at Shuijingfang and Lihu Light at around 10:00, but there were not many black-headed gulls and they were far from the shore. ✅Then went to Lihu Bridge Park, where there were flocks of black-headed gulls flying in waves. Although the weather was not very good, we were satisfied. 📍Huishan Ancient Town ✅No ticket is required for the historical and cultural district. Tickets are required for the cultural relics district (Jichang Garden, Huishan Temple, and the Second Spring under Heaven) and Xihui Park. You can buy a combo ticket in advance. ✅Parking lot: CNY 15 per time on weekdays. There is a subway station at the entrance of the ancient town, which is also convenient for subway travel. ✅One of the sub-venues of the Spring Festival Gala. When we came, the riverside was closed for construction, but it is now open again. ✅The district is a great place to visit. In addition to ancient ancestral halls and buildings, there are many interesting cultural and creative shops and authentic food shops. We had Xiajiabian dumplings, Laofatou plum blossom cakes, and Caoji Duobao date cakes. We will try Youzanzi, roasted highland barley buns, and tofu pudding next time. 📍Xihui Park ✅After parking, enter from the northeast gate of the ancient town, and you can walk and eat all the way to the north gate of the park. The park entrance fee is CNY 10 per person, and children under 1.4 meters are free. ✅Cable car: CNY 60 per person for a round trip, CNY 40 per person for a one-way trip, and half price for children between 1 and 1.4 meters. Choose a round trip if you don't want to walk. It is worth experiencing, and you can overlook the beautiful scenery of the whole city. ✅The cultural relics district is also in the park. You can visit it with a combo ticket.
