Canada's border town

Windsor sits on the border between the US and Canada and is consequently is just right across from Detroit. In some regards, it's also like Detroit, an industrial city that seems to be somewhat forgotten, however it's still a nice jump off point to visit in conjunction with Detroit. You can also easily stay in Windsor and head over to Detroit to visit, as hotels seem to be somewhat cheaper than Detroit. You can then easily get over to the US using a public bus. When visiting the city, definitely walk along the waterfront where you'll get amazing views of the Detroit river and of course of Detroit itself. It's a lovely and relaxing promenade if you just want to stroll. Overall, Windsor is a small sized city that's nice to visit, especially if visiting in conjunction with Detroit.
