#holidayitinerary #aussie #tasman #august2025 Cataract Gorge is easily one of the most beautiful spots in Launceston — a place where nature, adventure, and relaxation all come together. 🚡 Chairlift Ride Gliding over the Gorge on the world’s longest single-span chairlift was a highlight! The views of the cliffs, South Esk River, and treetop canopy were simply stunning. It felt like floating through a postcard. 🌊 First Basin & Swimming Pool Once I reached the First Basin, the scenery opened up to a wide expanse of water surrounded by rocky cliffs and greenery. The free public swimming pool next to the Basin was such a surprise — imagine taking a refreshing dip with those incredible Gorge views as your backdrop. 🌸 Walks & Wildlife I strolled along the suspension bridge and saw peacocks wandering freely — adding charm to the whole experience. The walking trails were peaceful yet rewarding, perfect for stretching the legs after soaking in the views.
