【Mianzhu, Sichuan Province ~ Luobo Village Tourist Area】

⛰【Attraction Guide】 Luobo Village is located on Yanluo Road, Wenchuan County, Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, situated on a high mountain over 2000 meters above sea level. It is a very large village in the Qiang area, known as the "market" and "ancient Qiang king's capital" on the clouds, with a history of more than 4500 years. At the beginning of its construction, considering the defense against foreign wars, it formed a military fortress interwoven in three dimensions of upper, middle, and lower layers, with each house connected and accessible to each other, and the entire village is almost integrated. Unlike the stone houses in the general Qiang area, the houses in Luobo Village are all built with yellow mud and wood from the top of the mountain, which is rare in the Minjiang River Valley. In the 2008 Wenchuan earthquake, Luobo Village, only 5 kilometers away from the epicenter, became a village with very serious casualties in Wenchuan County, and the village was almost completely destroyed. However, with the continuous efforts of the state and the villagers, the new Luobo Village has been built, located about 1 kilometer to the east of the old village in the upper part of the clouds. The new houses still retain the characteristic appearance of "yellow mud, blue stone, red door, yellow window", the roof is made of blue stone pieces as the decoration of the Qiang architecture, and the windows are inlaid with the totem of the Qiang. The wide lanes are still paved with blue stone slabs. In addition, a new village activity center and a new village gate building with strong Qiang characteristics have been built, and most of the villagers have moved into the new village.
