🎭 Review of the Huaxiacheng performance in Weihai, China! 360-degree revolving stage + realistic performance = ultimate immersion.

Weihai, Shandong Province, China. A mere 1 hour and 30 minutes by plane from Incheon, it's a much closer overseas destination than you might think. ✈️ The most memorable moment of my trip to Weihai, China! It was the "Shenyou Huaxia" (神游华夏) performance I saw at Huaxiacheng (华夏城). At first, I thought it was just a traditional performance, but 5 minutes into the show, my expression was = 😮 Wow… ⸻ 🔄 Revolving Auditorium + Stage All Around!? The key to this performance is the fact that the auditorium rotates 360 degrees! Mountains in front, a river on the side, a palace behind... It's literally a stage all around. Even if I just sit there, the stage rotates around me, making me feel like I'm the main character in a story! ⸻ 💦 Suddenly, a waterfall appears!? I was really immersed in the show, when suddenly water poured down from the stage, creating a waterfall! The lighting, mist, and fireworks all came together, making it feel like watching a movie. 🎬 ⸻ 🖌 There's even a calligraphy performance before the show! The actors performed traditional calligraphy before the audience. But... here's a tip! You can raise your hand and receive a piece for sale (not free, mind you✋) It's best to just enjoy it quietly hehe ⸻ 🎶 The music has a slightly B-movie feel, though? The music had a slightly B-movie feel, and some scenes made me think, "Huh? That's a bit Chinese?" But the overall scale was so overwhelming, that I just overlooked it for fun. 😄 ⸻ 👨👩👧👦 Perfect for watching with parents! The story is in Chinese, but the expressions, movements, and atmosphere are enough to convey it! There are no subtitles. The entire mountain is a stage, and the audience seats rotate 360 degrees, so it was a great experience to watch with my parents.💗 My parents were even more focused. ⸻ 🧥 Here's a tip! The performance takes place at night in the mountains, so the air is chilly! Bringing a jacket is essential!! Bringing water and a blanket will make the experience much more comfortable :) ⸻ 📸 Photography is totally OK! You can take photos during the show as long as you turn off the flash!
