Weihai Naval Academy.

The Naval Academy, a third batch of national key cultural relics protection units in 1988. Located in the western protection zone of Liugong Island, about 300 meters northwest of Dinggong Mansion. It was built in the 16th year of Guangxu (1890) and was the third naval academy established by the Beiyang Navy after the Tianjin Naval Academy and the Kunming Lake Naval Academy in Beijing. It is the only one of the four modern naval academies in the late Qing Dynasty that is complete and traceable. The academy covers an area of 18,000 square meters, surrounded by stone walls and fences. There were originally 63 large and small houses, which were destroyed during the war. The existing east and west gates, horse halls, photo walls, walls and small stages, etc. In June 2004, comprehensive maintenance and protection were completed and opened to the outside world. The walls, photo walls, theater buildings, pavilions, clubs and three buildings during the British lease period were repaired, and the destroyed buildings such as gates, inverted seats, east and west wing rooms, classrooms, dormitories, and canteens were rebuilt. Inside the Naval Academy, the original display is based on historical materials.
