At first, I was a little disappointed because I was expecting clear skies, but thanks to the rain, I had another special experience at Batch Winery.😆 When we arrived at the winery, the island's vineyards were soaked with rain, and the fog slightly settled on the hill, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. The staff kindly welcomed us with umbrellas and guided us to the tasting room. The interior was decorated with a cozy and warm atmosphere, making it the perfect space to enjoy wine while listening to the sound of rain outside the window~🏕 I sat by the window in the tasting room, holding a glass of wine and looking out at the island's scenery, and I felt the special charm of a rainy day. The raindrops falling on the vineyard sparkled in the light, and the trees and hills hidden in the fog added a mysterious feeling. The winery staff smiled and said that this kind of weather was a chance to feel the nature of Waiheke Island more deeply!! I tried 'Pinot Noir', which was recommended as a wine that goes well with rainy weather. The soft and warm scent made me feel comfortable, and it went perfectly with the humid weather. The staff explained in detail the characteristics of each wine and the process of making wine at this winery, and my interest in wine grew as I listened.😙 On the way back, I thought that I would not have had such a unique experience if it hadn't rained. Batch Winery is beautiful on a clear day, but it has a more romantic and sweet charm on a rainy day. If you are planning to visit Waiheke Island, make sure to stop by here regardless of the weather.
