Vilnius in one day

#northerneurope Vilnius is the capital city of Lithuania and can be accessed through the main international airport, train station or bus station. Some of the main attraction to visit include the university of Vilnius (because of its beauty). It is free to visit and open 24 hours a day. Other popular buildings include the cathedral and castle which can be visited in the old town. Both are free and also open 24 hours, with the castle providing a great view of the city. The hotel that I stayed in was around 40 euros per night and was a three star hotel but there are hotels available that are five stars as well as hostels. There are also a range of places to eat and drink including local restaurants (cold beetroot soup is popular) and international cuisine too.
