The magnificent night view and the wonderful daytime scenery.
This viewpoint is worth a visit! If you take the tram to Jardim do Morro, it's just a short walk to the viewpoint where you can enjoy Porto, with only a slight incline in the last 200 meters. Even those with mobility issues can reach here.
The view here is stunning at any time of the day, but the sunset is truly breathtaking. This is definitely the best viewpoint in Porto, not only for the scenery but also for taking some great photos.
The area can be very busy, but it's much quieter than downtown Porto. Overlooking the river, you can see old riverboats and most of the landmarks on the other side of the river, as well as the colorful old town houses and the beautiful Dom Luís I Bridge. Highly recommended!
The best view in Porto
The Jardim do Morro is the best view in Porto and conveniently located near the most famous double deck bridge, Luiz I. you will find many couples and families come here to enjoy the glorious sunset.
There are many vendors nearby that sell snacks and drinks for you to enjoy. The view across the river is truly stunning and one of my best memories of Porto.

It was small winery but you can taste 4flavors of portwine for free. And tour price was only 5euros, bang for the buck though.
Especially this winery got like private wine so good for satisfaction.
When you wanna go port winery i recommend here :)#porto #Portwinery #portwine #portugal #winery #Augustos

🇵🇹 Lovely Italian Restaurant in the Hub of Port Wine
During our stay in Vila Nova de Gaia, we discovered an amazing Italian restaurant that satisfied our cravings for pizzas and pastas. Mamma Bella Cais de Gaia is a hidden gem located just a short walk from the Douro Riverfront. The beautifully decorated restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The pizzas and pastas we ordered were freshly prepared, and the cook was generous with the ingredients. Each main dish, which includes complimentary garlic bread, costs around 10 euros. We also loved the homemade sangria made with port wine so much that we ordered two jugs!

🇵🇹 Authentic Portuguese Food in a Family Restaurant
We had a hearty lunch at a family-run Portuguese restaurant after our train ride from Lisbon to Porto. The restaurant, Frango Sobre Rodas, is located just outside Vila Nova de Gaia train station. This humble little eatery serves generous portions of traditional Portuguese dishes at very affordable prices, with most dishes costing under 10 euros. This neighborhood restaurant is quite popular among the locals. The highlight of our meal was the francesinha, a Portuguese sandwich that originated in Porto, consisting of toasted bread covered in a rich sauce made from tomatoes and beer. The service staff was attentive and did her best to introduce the dishes in English.

🇵🇹 Glasshouse Restaurant by Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal
We had a wonderful dinner at Ar de Rio, a terrace bar and restaurant in a glasshouse by the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating and provides amazing views of Ribeira, Porto's old town. Specializing in Western cuisine, the restaurant mainly serves steaks and francesinha, a Portuguese sandwich that originated in Porto. However, we opted for grilled fish as we preferred seafood. The main dishes were accompanied by salad and a choice of rice or potatoes. The food was delicious and reasonably priced as well.

🇵🇹 Wine Tasting in Quevedo Lodge, Vila Nova de Gaia
We received complimentary wine tasting with the purchase of round-trip tickets for the Gaia cable car. Quevedo Lodge, a wine tasting room, is just a short walk from the Cais de Gaia cable car station on the Douro Riverfront. Quevedo is a family-owned winery that has been producing port and Douro wines since 1993. We visited the wine tasting room on a Wednesday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised by a live fado session. Fado, a traditional Portuguese music style, is renowned for its expressive and profoundly melancholic character. Live fado sessions are held regularly on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3 pm to 5 pm. We sampled both red and white port wines and ordered some snacks to complement the wine. The combination of excellent wines, tasty snacks, and soulful fado music made for a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Hilton Porto Gaia is located at the street of winery shops and with less than 10 minutes of walk, you can walk to the famous Ponte Luis Bridge in Porto. I love staying at hotel because it has all the amenities you want and the size of the room is super big and comfortable. It was my birthday when I stayed at this hotel, and the hotel has arranged a free bottle of wine and a free cake for me, so this is a big Plus for me. My husband loves running and the 24 hours gym can allow to do running at night time. Staff service in Hilton is super friendly and I highly recommended this hotel to you all.

🇵🇹 The Fantastic World of Portuguese Can
We chanced upon an interesting shop, The Fantastic World of Portuguese Can, while taking a stroll along the riverfront promenade by the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia. The moment we set foot in the shop, the vibrant interior made us feel like we were in a circus! Countless colourful cans of sardines stacked from floor to ceiling is definitely a sight to behold. The main highlight of the shop is ''timeless sardines collection'' in which a year together with important event that happened in that year is printed on the tin. The collection contains every year from 1916 to the present year. The Fantastic World of Portuguese Can has a few branches across Portugal.

Calem Porto wine 🇵🇹
#thingstodo
Calem is one of the famous port wine located in Porto . This was found in 1859. In the recent trip to Porto, I am glad that I made the right choice to visit this port wine village and tasted different years of port wine. The oldest one is 40 years ago, and it tasted really different than the other I had before in my life. The taste is different and full of the taste of dried grape. Inside of the building, they showed lots of port wine with different years . So , if you have the chance to try them, try them all and let’s see which’s best.

🇵🇹 Riding the Gaia Cable Car @ Porto

Operating since 2011, the Gaia cable car connects the upper deck of the Luís I Bridge (next to Jardim do Morro metro) and Cais de Gaia (next to the Cais de Gaia Municipal Market). The route is 600 metres long and the difference in elevation between the two terminals is 58.5 metres. The 5-minute ride offers spectacular views of the mouth of Douro River, historic centre of Porto on one side and Gaia port wine cellars on the other side of the river bank.

Across Dom Luís Bridge in Porto
The view from Dom Luís Bridge must be one of the most iconic sights in Porto and crossing the bridge to Vila Nova de Gaia is definitely worth your time.
On the other side, there are many Port wineries where you can do wine tasting. This time around, we decided to skip them and just do it at a bar on the river shore. For 5 euros, you get to taste 5 different Port and you can share them if you don’t feel like drinking too much.
I wanted to see the sunrise, so got to the bridge early. There was no one and a dense fog covered the bridge, so no sunrise but it was nice anyway!
Porto Wine, Delicious Olive, Great seafood rice. It’s late than lunch time but, restaurant “Barris Do Doura” is nice they don’t have problem to serve one person. Really admire there hospitality.
