A Glimpse into an Ex-President's life!πŸ‡΅πŸ‡

#timetotravel I had the opportunity to visit the Syquia Mansion Museum in Vigan, Ilocos Sur, and it was a truly fascinating experience. The museum provides a glimpse into the rich history and opulent lifestyle of the Quirino family, particularly former Philippine President Elpidio Quirino, whose ancestral home this mansion once was. The Syquia Mansion Museum, located at Quirino Boulevard, Vigan City, Ilocos Sur, offers a captivating journey through time. As you step through the grand entrance, you are immediately transported to a bygone era. The mansion itself is a beautiful example of Spanish colonial architecture, with its grand facade and well-preserved interiors. Each room tells a story, and the knowledgeable guides added depth to the experience by sharing fascinating anecdotes and historical insights. #CelebrateWithTrip Charming Vigan It took us a long drive of about 9 hours from Manila to Vigan due to Friday night traffic, but I might say it’s still worth it. Vigan is such a beautiful city with an old-world charm. The historic city is listed as a UNESCO world heritage site as it has one of the best preserved planned Spanish colonial town in Asia. Head over to Calle Crisologo for an old world feel with its cobblestone streets, rustic structures and horse drawn carriages or the kalesa. Plaza Salcedo also offers a fountain show and there were many attractions around especially if you want to immerse yourself in history πŸ˜ŠπŸ‚ #wanderingme #ijustwander #itsmorefuninthephilippines
