That Luang, Vientiane

It is the largest Buddhist festival in Laos, featuring food, handicrafts and textile stalls. Locals and tourists flock to the festival to watch traditional music performances, fireworks, street food and car rides, followed by a three-day pilgrimage to pay homage to the golden pagoda by offering alms to monks. Devotees carry incense sticks as they walk around the pagoda three times a year. #Vientiane #Laos
