Just a short boat ride away, the island has a much more tranquil atmosphere and, true to its nickname as the "City of Glass," is filled with beautiful glassware. Walking along the streets, you'll encounter colorful glass sculptures and workshops, and even watch glass-making demonstrations, making it a truly enjoyable experience. Murano glass souvenirs are particularly valuable collectibles and make perfect gifts, so be sure to bring one home! Also, while on Murano Island, be sure to try the traditional Venetian snack, cicchetto. These bite-sized Italian tapas are served on small plates, and pair them with wine at a local bar for a truly Murano experience. Even a leisurely stroll through the quiet alleys and canals is relaxing, so if you're visiting Venice, I highly recommend the combination of the main island and Murano Island. 📍Honey Tips ✔️Cicchetto is best enjoyed at a small local bar called a "bacaro." ✔️For glasswork, choose one with the Murano certification to ensure its quality. ✔️Weekday mornings are the best for a quieter experience. ✔️Easily reach the island by taking vaporetto (water bus) 4.1 or 4.2!
