Venice! touristy but with many hidden gems

First time in Venice proved to be quite enjoyable! Even though there were throngs of tourists crowding the streets, it was still a charming city to walk around. The many alleyways were confusing at times, but also led us to discover unexpected hidden gems like the local wine bar that serves wine from regions in Italy. Best part is how a 1L bottle only costs 5 euros!! Very walkable too so the gondolas are not a must + they’re expensive#thingstodo #travel

Venice, Italy is the ultimate honeymoon dream 💕, and if you’ve got just one day, you can still soak in all the romance and the vibes! What makes it next-level? Wandering hand-in-hand through those labyrinthine streets, popping into tiny trattorias you’ll only find by getting a little lost, and letting each bridge reveal a jaw-dropping view. It’s a walking city—ditch the wheels and embrace the strolls! Must-See Places in Venice: 1. Piazza San Marco (St. Mark’s Square): The heart of the action; go early to avoid crowds! Address: Piazza San Marco, 30124 Venezia, Opening: 24/7 (Basilica 9:30 am–5 pm). 2. Rialto Bridge: Insta-worthy spot for canal photos and people-watching. Address: Sestiere San Polo, 30125 Venezia. 3. Hidden Streets: The magic’s in wandering—turn off the main drag and discover gorgeous, tiny streets bursting with secrets. 4. Venetian Eateries: Don’t skip the cicchetti (Italian tapas) at local bacari. Try Cantina Do Spade (Calle Do Spade, 19, 30125 Venezia) or Antico Forno for pizza. 5. Grand Canal: Walk along the waterfront for iconic scenery, or hop on a vaporetto (water bus) for unbeatable views. Pro tip: Start early and wear comfy shoes! Venice is a city best experienced on foot, getting slightly lost is part of the fun, and you’ll stumble onto amazing little wine bars and cozy cafes that way. Try splitting up meals—a pastry and espresso mid-morning at Pasticceria Tonolo (Calle dei Saoneri, 3764), then seafood pasta for lunch. Getting Around: Skip taxis; the vaporetto is super affordable, and the city is built for walking. If you’re on a romantic budget, save gondola rides for sunset! Weather: Venice can be humid, so pack a light layer and sunglasses. Most spots accept cards but keep some cash for smaller eats. #VeniceVibes #HoneymoonItaly #CicchettiLife #LoveTravel #tripdotcom
