During my trip to Vancouver, I stopped by Nelson the Seagull Caf&eacute; for breakfast, and it was the perfect way to start the day. This charming caf&eacute;, located in the heart of Gastown, has a cozy, rustic vibe and serves some seriously delicious food.

I ordered their avocado toast and a soup &amp; bread set, both of which were fresh, flavorful, and ideal for a hearty morning meal. Their house-made sourdough bread is a must-try—crusty on the outside, soft on the inside, and pairs perfectly with everything. Plus, they open early, making it a great spot to grab a bite before exploring the city. If you're ever in Vancouver, this caf&eacute; is definitely worth a visit!

I had a sour bread toast with eggs, salad and a cappuccino. The price was very reasonable and the service was good with a stylish atmosphere. It was a great place to read or surf the internet on Sunday morning.

Nelson's was a fantastic find. I bought their fig and walnut sourdough before as well which was so delicious. The interior design of the cafe itself is really rustic and home-y so I come here sometimes to get some work done.

The price for the toast (especially the ricotta) is a little steep ($12 I believe) but they do use quality ingredients so I do understand the higher price point. The PB&J is maybe $11 for 2 pieces of toast instead of 1 which is more worth it in my opinion.

The showcase is overwhelming with countless varieties of baked goods.

We took out cookies and scones.

Both are huge! I especially liked the cookies. The moist dough with colorful sprinkles was sweet and delicious.😋

If you’re visiting Vancouver, I suggest you simply walk around the downtown area to take some nice photos. 

When I visited Vancouver, I stayed near the Rogers arena and just walked everywhere from there. 
Gastown is not too far and the waterfront is also very nice. 

While in Vancouver, you should also go see a hockey game is the Canucks are in town.

The first time I went to Vancouver I didn’t love it. Too much too do in too little time. And it rained the whole time. The next time I went I made my own plans and had a great time. Yes it still rained on me but I think that’s just a Vancouver thing. I enjoyed the buildings that are supposed to look like the mountains. Granville island is fun too, different type of shopping than you get in other parts of Vancouver. I love cars and that’s a good city for car spotting. If you are a foodie this is your city as well. There is food from all countries of all prices available. I did try Seven Sails, food was fantastic, I didn’t get to enjoy the view though I was there during the fires in Alberta so it was too smoky but I’ve been told the views are to die for. #vancouver #canada

Vancouver is a city that is proud to show off it's natural beautiful. Being located right on the Pacific Coast, you'll be greeted by lovely serene sea views. Similarly, you'll also see the backdrop of the mountains, which are often snowcapped. Vancouver is a city that highlights a lot of its outdoorsy aspect. The vibrant city is also home to a large Asian population which features some of the best Asian food you'll find outside of Asia!
Vancouver downtown houses much of its historic center, with the Gastown area beaming with heritage and history. The area is covered by cobblestones and one of the main highlights are the gas lamps still in use. Nearby you'll also find the city's original Chinatown. There are still many Chinese restaurants, as well as gates demarcating the area. However, most Asians now live in the Richmond area, making this district a shadow of its former self. 
Moving towards the shores, you'll find the famous Stanley Park. Spend a day admiring the lovely natural beautiful of the forests and the sea that borders it. Bring some good shoes as you'll be walking a lot!
Further afield a trip to Granville Island (which is actually a peninsula) will bring you to a market area selling local produce. It's a great place to grab a bite to eat on a former industrial site. 
Overall, Vancouver is a beautiful city. It's rich mosaic of cultures makes it a city with many identities. While its natural beautiful is unparalleled. Keep in mind Vancouver is a very wet city so do expect a lot of precipitation especially in the winter, so the best time to visit is in summer. The city is also a great base to explore the even more hands on outdoors of British Columbia!
