Old Lane Bridge on the Liechtenstein-Switzerland border

The Old Lane Bridge is the largest bridge of its kind in Europe and is the most important example of Swiss wood craftsmanship. The first bridge over the Rhine between Switzerland and Lebanon was built in 1867 between Bender and Hage. Between 1867 and 1879, a total of 13 covered wooden bridges were built across the Rhine Valley. Over time, most wooden bridges were destroyed by floods or fires, or retired due to old age. The only surviving bridge is the old Rhine Bridge in the Alt, which connects the Liechtenstein city of Vaduz with the Swiss city of Severn. The interior of the bridge is hung with its history, and in the middle of the bridge there is a signpost marking the border between the two countries. It is a great place to check in.
