I was in such a hurry to catch the train that I dropped my mainland China ID card at the Urumqi Railway Station. Surprisingly, I had a smooth journey afterwards (because I needed to apply for a border pass to go to Baibaha Village, and I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to get it, but as long as I had a photo of my mainland China ID card, it would be fine).
