2024 Urayasu Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in September)
Once a fishing village on Tokyo Bay, this city in the far western corner of Chiba is now better known as the home of Tokyo Disneyland. Town is divided into 2 distinct areas: the original fishing village on Tokyo Bay and Shin-Urayasu (New Urayasu), built with an American-inspired grid layout of wide streets and sidewalks and modern apartment buildings. Spend much of your vacation exploring the gargantuan Disney resort, composed of two theme parks, nine hotels and a large shopping complex. Go get a break from Mickey and friends with an excursion to Odaiba island in Tokyo Bay or Tokyo Sea Life Park near Tokyo Station.

really recommend everyone to go! Completely different from land, marine projects are more exciting and more suitable for big friends.
Dpa need to be bound to visa to buy super suitable for a person 2,000 yen to buy three items of dpa, except for the leap horizon
haven't queued up too much for a day.
Get started and grab the new park first. I didn't get the Frozen. I really got it as soon as I entered the door.
No more
But the other three have been played.
Thighly recommend Peter Pan. It's so fun!!
40th anniversary pp grab every two hours
Land and Ocean only sell seven treasures. New products are limited to one ticket and can buy two, and it's really cheap.
I'm tired and stupid all day long, and my back is also sunburned. Everyone must do a good job of sun protection. I'm too lazy to wipe sunscreen. It's useless to take an umbrella.
Is Tokyo Disneysea the Best Disney Park? 🐭
Before my visit to Japan, I’d heard so many positive reviews of Tokyo Disneysea and it definitely lived up to it’s expectation!
🌋 Upon entering the park, there is a giant volcano infront of you. This actually has a rollercoaster inside, Journey to the Center of the Earth. This is unique to Disneysea and it was so exciting!
🧜🏻 Mermaid Lagoon is absolutely beautifully designed from the outside, a perfect spot to take photos. But inside is even more wondrous. It’s like going under the sea and experiencing the magic! There are smaller rides inside here, more family friendly.
🧸 Over on the American Waterfront area, you can find Toy Story Mania and Tower of Terror. These are probably some of my favourite Disney rides and I loved experiencing them in Tokyo! There is even a different story in Tower of Terror so it’s not exactly the same as the other parks.
🧞In the Arabian Coast you can find everything Aladdin themed. The double decker carousel was so cool and the Magic Lamp Theater has a show about the Genie and his magic!
BEFORE YOU VISIT:
🌟 Download the official Tokyo Disneyland app to buy tickets, book fast passes, make dining reservations and use the map to get around the park easily.
🌟 Wear comfortable shoes for walking around the park all day!
🌟 Arrive early because the parks can get very busy!!!

A Magical Day at Tokyo Disneyland in Japan 🇯🇵⭐️
My trip to Japan was not complete without visiting Tokyo Disneyland!
BEFORE YOU VISIT:
🔸 Buy a ticket online or using the official Tokyo Disneyland app. On here you can also book fast passes and reserve dining experiences.
🔸 Arrive early ~ I experienced first hand just how crowded the park can get. There can be very long queues to enter the park and for the attractions inside.
🔸 Wear comfortable shoes! It’s going to be a long day of standing and walking around!
🚂 Disney in Harmony in Color! Parade ~ watching this parade was so magical and I was especially impressed with the organisation and respect of all guests! Everyone sits along the street to watch so not to block the view for anyone! The atmosphere is amazing, everyone waving and cheering for the characters as they pass by!
🐭 Meet all your favourite characters! I made time to go and meet Donald Duck and Daisy but I wish I went to find other characters!
🌟 Tokyo Disneyland Electrical Parade ~ This might be one of my favourite parades I’ve watched at a disney park. The lights and the floats were so beautifully designed. It was so much fun!
🎢 Attractions: Don’t miss out on the rides in the park. Some of my favourites are Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and Space Mountain!

Whimsical Stay: Tokyo Disney Resort Toy Story Hotel in Tokyo
#staycation
Staying at the Toy Story Hotel in Tokyo was a magical adventure!
From the moment I entered, I was immersed in a world of vibrant colors and playful decor, reminiscent of the beloved movie. The themed rooms were creatively designed, offering both comfort and fun with Toy Story characters everywhere. The staff was exceptionally friendly and made the experience even more delightful. The on-site amenities, including a themed restaurant and gift shop, added to the charm. Conveniently located near Tokyo Disneyland, it was the perfect base for my trip.
For a whimsical and memorable stay, Toy Story Hotel is unbeatable!
My rating: 4.5 ⭐️ out of 5!
A mermaid lover’s fantasy found at Disney Sea Japan
On my recent trip to Japan I knew I couldn’t skip Disney Sea. As a mermaid lover myself I’ve had this place in my bucket list for years! 🧜♀️
The area of the park where you can find all the attractions and rides with this underwater kingdom theme is named “Mermaid Lagoon”, being this aquatic castle the center of it.
Amazing spot for pictures, colorful and just magical both at day and night. Don’t skip it! 🐚🐠🪼🐙
At this moment, Tokyo DisneySea has become legendary in my heart!
I've been to Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disneyland, and both gave me different feelings, each with their own highlights and shortcomings! But this time, coming to Tokyo DisneySea, I was truly conquered by the attention to detail and the service!
Subway🚇 - Get off at Maihama Station - Transfer to the Resort Line
From the moment I got on the subway🚇, I entered the kingdom created by Disney for me, with the entire carriage filled with Disney elements, the shape of the seats and windows 🎵, and the moment I got off, everyone was very happy and joyful. (The Mickey Mouse windows and handles are super friendly)
The reviews for DisneySea🧜 online are mixed, with some saying it's nothing like Disney, and others saying it's really great! But I think it's really unique, full of details, and I admire the creativity!
Recommended attractions👍🏻
Haunted Mansion ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Honestly, all the tourists in our car were fooled several times haha, every time we thought we were going to drop, it was just a little scare, but you know what followed!
Journey to the Center of the Earth ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The roller coaster inside the volcano🌋, when you see half a car stuck in the mountain at the entrance, the harmony effect is so realistic! It's a bit scary, but not extremely thrilling!
Magic Lamp Theater ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I really love this magic show, you must go see it! This time I sat in the first row, the whole sensory experience was very good, the music, the effects, including the actors' performance felt so real, and also, having watched a lot of anime, the voice actors' voices were really nice haha!
In short, everyone who comes to Tokyo DisneySea, it's really, really worth it!!!!!!!!
Tokyo DisneySea T0 Full Coverage Strategy with Less Queuing
Prepare in advance😊
1. Download disney resort tokyo
2. The app can only be opened in Japan, bind the ticket (Remember❗❗❗)
3. You need to bind a visa card and receive an SMS verification code
4. After entering the park, you can grab a FastPass, which requires visa payment
🌸On the day of the visit🌸
- The park opens at 9 am, ticket checking starts at 8:30 am, it is recommended to arrive between 7:30-8:00 am as it gets very slow later
- After entering, one person should head to Journey to the Center of the Earth to queue, while another grabs a FastPass
🎢Attractions🎢
T0 (must play)⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
👍🏻👍🏻Tower of Terror (DPA) - Top favorite, actually a drop tower, but the dark and light segments are well designed, played twice
👍🏻Journey to the Center of the Earth (DPA) - Top thrilling roller coaster, with scenes and excitement, very good
👍🏻Indiana Jones (PP) - Indoor roller coaster, quite good
👍🏻Raging Spirits (PP) - 360-degree roller coaster, actually quite small and not scary
👍🏻Soaring: Fantastic Flight (DPA) - Long queue for a 5D movie, average
😭Big Band Beat (EQ) - Didn't get it
😃Toy Story Mania (DPA) - Was closed when I visited in January, now open
🎆Believe! Sea of Dreams (DPA) - Fireworks show, book position 2 (was canceled due to strong winds that day😭)
T1 (recommended)⭐⭐⭐⭐
🐟20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (PP) - Take a submarine tour, good lighting effects
🎦Nemo & Friends SeaRider (PP) - 5D movie, short queue and not bad
🚢Venetian Gondolas - Can go back and forth by reservation
🚗Transit Steamer Line, Electric Railway - Make good use of the Transit Steamer Line (from middle to middle return) and Electric Railway (from top left to bottom left return), short queue time and worth a ride, saves energy while sightseeing
❌Not recommended❌
20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Soaring Over the Horizon same as other Disney parks, Turtle Talk (Japanese stand-up comedy)
💰FastPass💰
DPA: 1500 yen per person, grab once every hour,
PP: 40th anniversary event, free, grab once every two hours
EQ: Performance items, Big Band Beat costs money
Show registration: Register for the lottery on the App
1. FastPass priority: Big Band Beat > Believe! Sea of Dreams > Soaring: Fantastic Flight > Other DPA > PP, sorted by queue time and difficulty to grab, adjust according to your preferred attractions
2. Aim for a slightly later time for DPA to avoid missing out due to long queues at Journey to the Center of the Earth
3. Check the attractions you've grabbed, confirm the route, set the alarm for the next time
❗Important Notes❗
1. Try to use the single rider line when entering, no food allowed but water is
2. Prepare trash bags and paper, contact lenses can be worn
3. Big Band Beat is purely luck-based
4. Take advantage of the smaller crowds to visit T0 attractions that you didn't book (got the second Tower of Terror this way)
5. Look for places to eat while queuing
6. Some attractions may temporarily close and then reopen, some that stop operating won't reopen, pay attention to the app
😋Food😋
If you haven't booked a restaurant, focus on snacks, the prices are reasonable and worth trying🍗

Tokyo DisneySea | These attractions are a must-visit!
These attractions are a must-visit! When you come to Tokyo, you must check out the world-class theme park — Disney. The moment you step in, it feels like you've fallen into a fairy tale world. Everyone's childhood is an adventure filled with joyful memories and marks of growth. As children, we couldn't wait to grow up, fantasizing about what we would be like as adults. But once we've grown up, we long to return to the simple and happy times of our childhood. Perhaps this is what they mean by never losing your sense of wonder.
There are two Disney parks in Tokyo, the land park (TOKYO DISNEYLAND) and the sea park (TOKYO DISNEYSEA), and we chose the sea park in the end. Maybe I prefer the ocean elements more, and I think the sea is more suitable for adults. There are quite a few popular attractions that are very thrilling, especially with the lighting and sound effects that are incredibly realistic. The fairy-tale-like architecture makes you feel like you've fallen into the Land of Oz, but there are mysteries hidden everywhere, captivating visitors.
The park is huge, and without a fast pass, you still need to prioritize the attractions you're interested in. After all, waiting in line for 1 or 2 hours is no joke; you really can lose yourself in it.
Here are a few attractions I think are worth checking out, and you can focus on queuing for them ➡️
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Highly recommended popular attraction at Mysterious Island — 'Journey to the Center of the Earth'
A must-visit attraction when you enter the park! In the magnificent Journey to the Center of the Earth, you'll see a variety of magical creatures from all over the world, but be on the lookout for sudden dangers. Hop on the fast roller coaster, the lighting effects are amazing, and it's especially thrilling.
🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Lost River Delta's 'Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Crystal Skull'!
This is another attraction I highly recommend, and you have to ride through it, the effects are fantastic!
🌟🌟🌟🌟
For those who love roller coasters, you can't miss 'Raging Spirits', a 360° rotating roller coaster that weaves through the excavation site of ancient divine statues.
🌟🌟🌟🌟
American Waterfront's 'Tower of Terror'
Take the elevator and experience weightlessness. When the elevator doors open, there are various surprises waiting for you, worth experiencing. After playing, don't forget to check out your photo, it's very meaningful.
🌟🌟🌟🌟
'Soaring: Fantastic Flight'
There were too many people in line, so I gave up on this attraction. It's similar to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, where you ride a flying vehicle and embark on a magnificent aerial journey to tour scenic spots and natural wonders around the world! It should be great.
🌟🌟🌟
Sindbad's Storybook Voyage (heart bee) (heart bee)
If you're tired from playing, why not join Sindbad's adventure here? Sit in a small boat and leisurely watch a wonderful puppet show performance. The exquisite scene design will make you feel that the trip is truly worthwhile.
Which ones did you choose in the end?
📍 | Tokyo DisneySea
📝 tips:
1. When entering the park, get a map 🗺️ to check the waiting times for attractions and show times.
2. For those who like to collect, remember to go to the souvenir shop to make your own commemorative coin 🪙
3. 🌄 Don't forget to record the twilight moment by the coast when the sun is about to set, it's really beautiful.
It's a small World after All.
How can you not love this ride? It is a classic and iconic attraction known for its charming and whimsical portrayal of global unity and cultural diversity. It's also a great way of cooling off during hot days.
A nice quiet attraction great for small kids and toddlers. You just sit on a boat and it will take you to different places with small moving dolls/animals. Avoid if you are scare of moving dolls.
I wish to go back in 2024

Tokyo Disneyland, where dreams come true! This is the happiness place in the world. The area of the park is 115 acre theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba Peefecture, Japan, near Tokyo. The main gate is directly adjacent to both Maihama Station and Tokyo Disneyland Station.
There are 7 themed areas in the park. The park is busy all year round especially during school holidays and public holidays. The opening hours is from 9am to 9pm daily but good to check the website first as sometimes might have changes in the operating hours. Good to go minimum 1 full day.
Recommended to buy tickets online and download the Tokyo Disney Resort App to have a more efficient day! You can get Disney Premier Access, standby pass or book restaurants via the app. You also can view the waiting time for the rides too! Is so convenient. Have fun everyone!
I wish to go Los Angeles!

Tokyo Disneyland is a magical destination that offers an enchanting experience for visitors of all ages. To make the most of your trip, here are five essential tips to keep in mind:
1. Plan Ahead: Tokyo Disneyland can get crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. To avoid long queues, plan your visit on weekdays if possible. Additionally, make use of the FastPass system to reserve your spot for popular attractions in advance.
2. Get There Early: Arriving early is key to maximizing your time at Tokyo Disneyland. The park opens at 8:00 AM, but guests often start lining up well before that. By arriving early, you can beat the crowds and enjoy shorter wait times for popular rides.
3. Download the Tokyo Disneyland App: The official Tokyo Disneyland app is a valuable tool for navigating the park. It provides real-time information on wait times, show schedules, and even offers a map to help you find your way around. Make sure to download it before your visit.
4. Stay Hydrated and Energized: Exploring the park can be tiring, so it's important to stay hydrated and energized. 5. Enjoy the Parades and Shows: Tokyo Disneyland is known for its spectacular parades and shows, such as "Dreaming Up!" and "Happiness is Here." Check the schedule in advance and plan your day around these captivating performances. Arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and immerse yourself in the magical entertainment. Don't miss the nighttime extravaganza, "Once Upon a Time," where Cinderella Castle comes to life with dazzling projections and fireworks. These shows are not to be missed and add an extra touch of enchantment to your visit.
Tokyo Disneysea
Tokyo DisneySea is a fantasy theme park in Tokyo Disney Resort that is unique to Japan. Inspired by the myths and legends of the sea, Tokyo DisneySea is made up of seven themed ports of call: Mediterranean Harbor, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery and American Waterfront.
Tokyo DisneySea is Disney’s best theme park anywhere in the world. It’s rare for me to make an unqualified statement when calling something the best, but this park is so good that I’m confident in that statement without any sort of hedging my bets.
Everyone loves Disney. Japanese people also love Disney. In fact, they love it so much they have two Disney theme parks right next to each other; DisneySea and Disneyland. Both are just a half hour train ride from Tokyo
Getting there and around
From Maihama Station, take the Disney Resort Monorail to Tokyo Disney Sea Station (10 minutes, 260 yen). Alternatively, you can walk there in about 20 minutes.
#tokyotrip
Tokyo Disney Reort
#tokyotrip
Tokyo DisneySea is a theme park at the Tokyo Disney Resort located in Urayasu, Chiba Peefecture, Japan.
There are currently seven themed lands. The entrance to the Park is Mediterranean Harbor. The other six theme are American Waterfront, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast and Mysterious Island.
Park operating hours is from 9am to 9pm. But better to check the timing again in case there are any changes. Need to buy tickets online prior going there. Be there early before the opening hours as the queue already started before opening.
Parades and fireworks was canceled due to bad weather. So disappointing. Hope to go again!

Disney Magic at Tokyo Disneyland
#tokyotrip
Tokyo Disneyland is gorgeous.
Everything is extremely well-maintained.
All rides and attractions look and feel new.
Plan your route by studying queue times and the map and set the right expectation.
The night electrical parade is prettier compared to the day parade. And queue for the rides during the parade are shorter.
Enjoy the beautiful park, have fun wearing different merchandise and stuff yourself with their famous popcorns of different flavours.
Although we don’t speak Japanese we didn’t feel like we missed out on anything.
Unique Tokyo DisneySea
#tokyotrip
DisneySea is a more laid-back version of Disneyland, but equally enjoyable experience for visitors of all ages.
It is an ocean-themed amusement park that centers its motifs on “Navigating the seas of adventure and imagination”.
It doesn’t have as many rides compared to Disneyland and its attractions are based on real events of history and romantic atmosphere.
DisneySea is huge, just walking around the whole park will take at least half a day.
So plan your route and minimize walking by using the Electric Railway and Transit Steamer.
I enjoyed the main rides such as Soaring, Tower of Terror and Finding Nemo.
As for meals, I survived on their yummy Disney snacks that were more affordable and didn't break the bank.
The park is really beautiful, especially the scenery near the sea/ lighthouse.
Probably just enjoying the beautiful scenery and taking happy photos will already be worth it.
An incredible day at Tokyo DisneySea 🏰🎢
If you’re a fan of Disney or theme parks then a day at Tokyo DisneySea is essential if you’re in the city. It’s made up of lots of themed worlds centred around a huge man made lake. Each area has different rides, food and experiences to match the theme.
Entry is around $60 and it opens at 9am, it can get very busy very fast so it’s best to get in the lines before it opens. Head for the biggest ride as soon as it’s
open to beat the queues, even by 10am the big rides all had a minimum queue of an hour!
However If you plan in advance you can manage to do everything in one day, download the app ahead of time too. On the app you can buy fast pass tickets for around $5-10 per person per ride. You can book one ride per hour so if you strategise it well you can do all the big rides for around $40 each which is worth it to avoid the queues
Also one or two of the rides to single rider options, so I’d you just want to try the rides and you’re not too worried about riding with friends this will save you a lot of time!
Overall the park is stunning and visually one of the more polished Disney parks, the worlds are so immersive and detailed you get the true escapism you want.
However if you’re travelling with small children who want to see the characters this isn’t the park for you, it’s best to do the other Tokyo Disney. Character interactions here are minimal and VERY busy.

Amazing lunch-Crystal Palace Disneyland Tokyo
#tokyotrip
When in Tokyo, we managed to make reservations for the highly-raved buffet lunch at Crystal Palace in Disneyland Tokyo and it was amazing!
There was a huge variety of dishes including Disney themed desserts, and being buffet style, it was all you can eat! The food choices were delicious and there was also a nice selection of beverages!
Highly recommended to make advance reservations as there’s always a long line waiting for tables!
After lunch, step right outside - you might be just in time to catch the Disney parade right at the doorsteps of the restaurant!
My rating of this restaurant: 4 ⭐️ out of 5!

I am a very big fan of Disney, so when I had a chance to go to Tokyo DisneySea, I was so excited! DisneySea did not disappoint me. The park was big enough for a day of exploring. Lots of fun rides. Tokyo Disneyland during summertime. Tokyo DisneySea was an amazing experience. Tokyo DisneySea is a gorgeous park! Spend the whole day there since the opening and stayed to watch the night show with fireworks. Toy Story Mania and Soaring: Fantastic Flight are both high wait time attractions. It is best to go for either one first and it was great!!! It was worth every minute of the wait. The rides and food were all fantastic. Will plan another trip there soon again!

This is Disneysea. I Highly recommend to go this place. Being the only one in the world, the view at this place is amazing. Even after a heavy downpour, everything looks stunning and out of the ordinary. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Even guided us to the place for the closing fireworks.
Magical Theme park to Visit!
The happiest place on Earth? It is definitely one of the places to visit! We took a break in between as it starts ro pour but once we came back, the queue got ALOT shorter and we realized that if you want to avoid the crowd, come when its about to close!
Prepare to wear proper footwear and bring a poncho along as there’s alot of walking and waiting and the poncho is for those wet rides (if its not raining). We were seated at the front for splash mountain and got drenched but we were prepared!

🇯🇵Tokyo | BEST THEME PARK in Asia
Tokyo DisneySea is the best theme park that I’ve ever been to in Asia.
Although it was built more than 20 years ago. The attractions inside look really new and clean. The buildings are in a romantic medieval vibe, which are ideal for photos. There are numerous choices and they are fun, immersive and interactive.
As there are many tourists and you might need to wait up to two hours for a ride, I would recommend purchasing a premium pass for the popular ones.
Price per Person - JPY 8,400
Getting There - Transfer to Disney Resort Line from JR Maihama Station and get off at the Tokyo DisneySea Station.
