A Perfect Farewell to London at Trafalgar Square

After watching The Phantom of the Opera, the weather was exceptionally beautiful, as if gifting the departing traveler with the most stunning evening sunshine. Trafalgar Square usually feels bustling with tourists, but on this day, it was surprisingly comfortable. On September 18th, I happened to witness the unveiling of a new sculpture on the Fourth Plinth, marking the third generation of changes I've seen there. The National Gallery had just closed, and its 200th-anniversary poster was beautifully colored. Wandering alone in the city center, I finally had the chance to visit Guanghua Bookstore in Chinatown. The day started with a second-hand sale, followed by The Phantom of the Opera in the afternoon, a final meal at Zhang Liang Spicy Hot Pot in Chinatown, and an exhilarating evening of rock climbing with friends in Stratford.
