1⃣ Any seat/coach: It's normal for train tickets in the UK to not have assigned seats, so you can sit anywhere. 2⃣ Rail replacement: If the train service is closed/canceled due to railway maintenance, train faults, accidents, or strikes, you can temporarily take a replacement bus 🚌 for your journey. 3⃣ Counted place: Your ticket has a designated seat, but without an actual seat number. 🇬🇧 Train seats can be a bit puzzling, but you can actually sit in any available seat. 4⃣ Split ticket: Splitting a ticket means dividing it into two. 🌰: For example, a Birmingham➡Manchester ticket originally costs £40, but the platform algorithm recognizes that a Birmingham➡Trent➡Manchester ticket only costs £30. This generates a more cost-effective split ticket. 5⃣ Overtaken: This train journey may be slower than the regular trains on the same route because it might make more stops at smaller stations. Therefore, the price is cheaper compared to the regular trains, but the travel time is longer. 6⃣ Super off-peak: Super off-peak is a less busy time period, usually from 10:00 to 15:30 and after 19:15 on weekdays, as well as on weekends and bank holidays. 7⃣ Off-peak Single: A one-way ticket valid for any off-peak train on the date shown on the ticket, usually from 9:30 to 16:00 and after 19:00 on weekdays. 8⃣ Off-peak Day Return: Outward and return journeys must be made on the same date shown on the ticket and must be taken on off-peak trains. 9⃣ Off-peak Return (different from the previous one‼): A return ticket for the same day on any off-peak train.
