🇳🇴 Trolltunga Camping Trek

After all the hardships, there's true joy🌿 A highlight of any Norwegian trip: a trek that captures the fjords at a glance. Trolltunga, as its name suggests, is a striking spot with a unique rock formation resembling a "troll's tongue." While the trek is over 20km round-trip and involves over 1,000m of elevation gain, the view from the summit makes all the hardships worth it. Since I was already there, I decided to try the "camping course" for a night⛺️ --- 📍 Trolltunga | Ullensvang, Norway Trekking Distance: Approximately 28-30km round trip from P2 / Approximately 20.6km from P3 Duration: 10-12 hours (round trip) for a day trip Elevation: Approximately 1,180m Recommended Season: Summer (June-August) Trekking Difficulty: High endurance required 💪 --- 🚗 Approach & Tips Trekking usually starts from the P2 parking lot. → Over 100,000 won per day... I think it might be the most expensive parking lot in the world 😅 Shuttle Bus: A round-trip shuttle bus is convenient for the asphalt road between P2 and P3! Advance Reservations Required: P3 Parking Lot Operates by Advance Reservation Check the Weather: If it's cloudy, you won't be able to see anything. Seriously... --- 🎒 Trolltunga Trekking & Camping Spot Gear Weight: With a drone, sleeping bag, and even a dinosaur costume(?), my bag alone easily weighed 10kg. Energy Distribution Strategy: Pitching a tent near the lake, leaving my luggage behind, and then heading out to Trolltunga is recommended. Watering Point: Refill your water in the clear stream. Tents are required: No local rentals available. It's quite cold at night: A sleeping bag is a must! Best Camping Spot: Ringedalsvatnet, a spot near the lake view, recommended. --- 📸 Trolltunga View... Is this real? Arrived at 7 PM, almost no crowds. A chance to take a commemorative photo without waiting! Photo Spot: There's even a signpost at the last 1km from the entrance. Even the drone shots are perfect: It's so good you might get a gear fever. --- ⛺️ A day filled with camping spirit A bowl of ramen overlooking the lake at sunset was a treat. An unexpected gas tank failure... Ramen made with water thanks to the love of a Korean couple who are camping enthusiasts. A truly unforgettable memory. A glass of soju shared. I'm still in touch with that couple from their trip around the world😊 --- 🌫 A dramatic change in weather this morning! Morning fog with zero visibility.
