Wat Khao Chong Chad: Udon Thani

Location: Ban Nong Bua Ngern, Moo 8, Ubmoung Subdistrict, Nong Wua So District, Udon Thani Province. The temple was established in 1977 as a monastic residence. The current abbot is Phra Ajarn Boonmee Thananacharo. The temple is notable for its large white Buddha statue in a meditation posture, with a flame-like feature on its head. Locals often refer to it as Luang Pu Yai. The staircase leading up to the temple has over a hundred steps, with golden Naga railings.
