2024 Ubud Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in September)
Stylish Guesthouse in Ubud, Bali
I visited Ubud in Bali, where you can enjoy both the culture and nature of the island! I stayed at a place called 'Dade Guesthouse.' Since it's a new location, there's no geolocation available, so I've included the address below!
The room, which is predominantly blue, was spacious and clean, allowing for a relaxing stay. I was very satisfied with the hot shower and the fluffy towels.
Nearby, there are vegan-friendly cafes and bakeries, so the food was also satisfying. You can rent a bike to tour the temples or call a taxi to explore the nearby Monkey Forest area. It was perfectly located as a base for these activities.

Rediscover Bali-Ubud
Third time to Bali but first to Ubud. Very touristy area with lots of shopping, restaurants, spa, and hotels. Most impressive is the Kempinski hotel the view was jaw dropping. I like the nice restaurants but they arenāt cheap. Enjoy going for message and spa whenever I could. Surprisingly the weather is not as hot as Singapore and itās even a bit chilly at night !
It a work from abroad trip and a little too short to explore everything . Coming back soon !
THE NEW HEALING SPOT IN UBUD
The new healing spot in Ubud. This time weāll not talk about a coffee shop, but a tea house. This place is beautifully aesthetic even though it's simple and minimalist with red brick colour as the main. In addition, it is spotless and very comfortable. The vibe is calm and relaxing when entering it.
They offer many variants of tea. Their friendly staff will explain to you the tea that you want. They serve it in a teapot that you can enjoy with your friend, partner or loved one. Ubud never fails to deliver a delightful hustle and bustle of people that you can see from this spot.

Favorite Cafe in Ubud š„°
I always recommend this cafe for everyone I know when they come to Bali.
The atmosphere of the place is unique and really cute. No matter how many times I come, I still feel like this place is really cute.
The coffee & dessert are delicious š„° Even though the cafe here is vegetarian, it still suits my palate, who is not a vegetable follower.
There is no space available for car parking yet. Yes, on average, in Ubud there is no parking space. But you can park near the cafe, right next to the road. Yes, a common problem for car users in the Ubud area is... No parking area š

How many swings does it takes to get one shot
Also known as Bali Swing. You can find these huge swings set up all aroundbthe rice terraces at The Tegallalang Rice Terrace in Ubud, Bali. The entrance fee alone was roughly 10k-25k. The swing itself averaged 150k-500k ($10-35) depending on the swing location and dresses.
As the seasons switch, each plot does as well. Plots belong to several owners and they all work together to keep the paddies nice. It takes approximately 2-3 months for rice to fully mature for the picking. Here, you'll see some of the most beautiful plots of rice, strategically placed along the steep hills of Tegallalang.
During Covid, this place was pretty deserted and now, they are doing their best to revamp it. Gardens are being grown on the side of the swings and little local resturants are starting to reopen. To get to the lush green paddies, go down to the bottom of the hill and cross over. You'll have to buy a bottle of water for 10k (.50 cents). This goes to support the communities there as you visit and take photos.

Ubud Village Jazz Festival
#musicfestivals
UVJF i think is the only Jazz festival whom the music and musicians are 100% Jazz. Most of the Jazz festival in Indonesia has a lot of influence of Pop. If you love jazz, you have to visit this.
The vibes is super casual. And relaxing. They divided the performances into several stages, so you can choose which performers youād like to see.
The venue is always different each year. And the food stall is also something you canāt missed.
Ubud Traditional Spa
#massage
Love this place so much. The massage was so relaxing and on point. We did an hour 4 hand massage, an hour reflexology, 45min body scrub and 15min flower bath. Personally, the 4 hand massage is pretty common, the pressure is uneven so I would just go for normal Balinese massage next time.
It was a wonderful experience. It is very kind of them to offer cold towels and drinks before starting and tea after the massage. They also have a shuttle service to the center.
Trip to Bali, Indonesia
First time in Bali, but the experience is soo amazing! Experience the beautiful beaches, foods and amazing people! 5 days is really not enough to explore thos beautiful island! We explore Kuta for its amazing beaches and romantic sunset! Ubud, is the place to enjoy and connect with extraordinary nature, from exotic animals and ofcourse the people itself! We'll definitely come back! #baliindonesia #balitrip #balibeach
Black Eye Luwak Coffee
This shop must have been visited by several members, namely blackeye eatery. This time, we had the opportunity to visit its new branch located in Ubud. This shop not only serves coffee, but also provides lunch and dinner, so it is open longer.
This shop is beautifully designed, combining wood and industrial elements. There are several areas in this shop: indoor areas on the first and second floors, where the indoor area on the second floor is very comfortable for working. In addition, there is also an outdoor area on the first and second floors, both of which are smoking areas. However, the first floor is more suitable for those who want to smoke while working. There is indeed the noise of vehicles if working from the outdoor area on the first floor, but the sockets and the composition of the tables and chairs are adequate for working.

š“Nice Ubud Street Market to seeš
š®š©Blissful Bališ®š©
Just beside the Ubud Water Temple is this street market, as we still had lots of time in Ubud we went through this street and found a few things we like.
Strolling this market of Ubud, we see lots of dresses, bags, jewelry, little souvenirs and temples along the way. It is extremely hot as we walk here but there are plenty of food and drink stalls and cafes.
Tip: One has to haggle here if you want to buy, no fixed pricingš

š“A Simply Amazing Cafe in Ubudš
š®š©Blissful Bališ®š©
Snack break at this cool open aired place called Simply Social. We loved the ambiance of this place. It was very chilled and relaxed, you could just stay here all day!
It is also very spacious and seats that are comfortable, cushioned and even rocking chairs where we sat on in front of the cafe, great for people viewing!
Service was nice and fast. Food and drinks are reasonably priced too. We first sat inside and could see all the people and the whole place but we moved towards the entrance area as we wanted a better view of the the street while eating and drinking. Great place to just chill and relax especially after walking around in Ubud.
Tip: They are recommended for Sushi, didnāt have a chance to try that as were quite full so we had quesadillas and their coconut coffee drinks
