Kakum National Park ✅ Finally crossed this off my bucket list! 🤭🇬🇭 The last time I was here, six years ago, I wasn’t scared at all. Six years later, I’m super terrified but trying to maintain my cool. I guess it’s fair to say I have a fear of heights - I actually realized this the last time I was at the amusement park - but I still managed to face my fears. Anyway, I hope you visit here soon. It’s totally worth it! • • • 🚐Getting There: You can catch a Jukwa bus (trotro) from Abura (Cape Coast). Just tell the driver you’ll alight at Kakum National Park. 🎟️Entrance Fee: The price varies depending on whether you’re Ghanaian or a foreigner, as well as your age (child or adult) and student status. PS: The entrance fee is separate from the fees for the canopy walk, hiking, camping, and bird watching. 🏞️Activities to Try: Hiking, Canopy Walkway, Bird Watching, and Camping (tree houses and tents are available). There’s also a children’s park with a mini canopy walkway. PS: Prices vary for each activity. Additionally, there’s a free exhibition center at the venue. 🍱Food: There’s a restaurant at the center. 🇬🇭Souvenirs: A souvenir shop is located right at the center. 🚌Returning to Town: You can catch a Cape Coast bus (trotro) at the main gate. Just stand there and flag down a moving bus. Tell the driver or mate that you’ll be dropping off at Abura. From there, you can get a cab to your destination. If you’re lucky, you might find a Cape Coast bus heading to town. Additional note : There are tourist guides available at the park to assist you during your visit at no additional fee.
