I had late lunch at Maruba Restaurant when I was exploring Tuktuk Siadong, a small village located in a small cape in Samosir Island. The restaurant is situated along Jalan Lingkar Tuktuk. I was the only customer there after the previous customers left. The restaurant serves traditional batak food in a modern setting. Batak cuisine, originating from the Batak ethnic group of North Sumatra, is characterized by its bold use of spices and local ingredients, making it a unique and flavorful part of Indonesian culinary traditions. I ordered beer battled fish & chips and tamarillc juice. The food was flavourful.
