The Distillery was originally named Gooderham & Worts, founded in 1832. By the 1860s, it was not only the largest distillery in the British Empire but also the largest in the world at that time. Today, this ancient building has become a famous center for arts, culture, and shopping leisure. The old factory area is divided into several sections by a few small streets. In addition to the brewing equipment from that time which is still on display for visitors, the area is full of bars, restaurants, galleries, craft shops, bakeries, etc. Here you can also see various workshops, such as glass workshops, bread workshops, small chocolate factories, and beer workshops. Moreover, there are several galleries, and many craftsmen and painters work on-site in the workshops, displaying and selling their finished products at the front.
