I thought Wuzhen was beautiful enough, until I visited Puyuan Ancient Town.

Puyuan Ancient Town is really impressive! It perfectly matches my ideal image of an ancient town, and it's just as good as Wuzhen. Here you'll find blue tiles and grey bricks, small bridges and flowing water, a blend of Jiangnan charm and Republic of China style. It's more than twice the size of Wuzhen, and it's peaceful and relaxing. Compared to the bustling Wuzhen, visiting here allows you to experience the leisurely pace of life in Jiangnan, and it's a great place to take photos. Unlike Wuzhen, Puyuan is more like an ancient town resort village, and there are no local residents living in the scenic area. 📍Location: No. 233, Puchuan Avenue, Puyuan Town, Jiaxing City. 🚗 If you're driving, just navigate to the Puyuan Ancient Town parking lot. 🅿️ Parking is free. 🎫 Ticket price: 60 yuan (free for guests staying here). 🕐 Opening hours: 09:00 - 22:00. ⚠️ Highly recommended to stay overnight in the scenic area, hotel prices are affordable, and the night view is even more charming. 🌈 Must-visit attractions: 1️⃣ North Gate Tower This is a great viewing spot in the ancient town, you can climb the tower and look out into the distance, taking in the full view of the ancient town. 2️⃣ Pu Merchants Guild Hall This hall records the development history of Pu merchants. Don't miss the Pu Treasury on B1, the floor is covered with gold and silver coins, it's quite a sight! 3️⃣ Yue Family Courtyard Here you can watch string puppet shows. 4️⃣ Xufang Zen Garden This is a garden landscape integrating a theater and a teahouse, located in the center of the scenic area. The small bridges and flowing water, along with the mist on the water surface, create a fairyland-like atmosphere. 5️⃣ Fushan Temple It's better to visit in the evening, when the sunset's glow creates a more poetic atmosphere. The temple has two ginkgo trees that are almost a thousand years old, worth stopping by to take a look. 6️⃣ Siwan Street This ancient street has a strong Song Dynasty style. It's recommended to visit at night, when the lanterns are lit, it feels like you've traveled back in time. The street has a variety of handicrafts for sale, as well as delicious Song-style rice cakes. ⚠️ Tips: 1. Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town has few tourists and beautiful scenery, making it perfect for taking photos. 2. It's recommended to stay overnight, the scenic area is large and the night view is stunning, one day is not enough to see everything.
