Wuzhen Family Trip Guide: Avoiding Pitfalls

Wuzhen is perfect for a slow-paced life. Enjoy local delicacies, stroll around the ancient town, and recharge by playing in the hotel pool when tired. If you have kids with you, take your time to explore! Wuzhen's attractions are divided into four areas: East, South, West, and North. South and North are free, East costs 110r, West 150r, and a combined ticket for East and West is 190r. During the day, you can visit the South area, and in the evening, when the lights come on, explore the West area. If you're too tired and can only visit one spot, choose the West area. The main attractions of Wuzhen are in the West area. Wear a Hanfu and wander around the West area to fulfill all your imaginations of a Jiangnan water town! 🏡 Stay • 𝗿𝙤𝙤𝗺 On the second day of our trip, we stayed at the Wuzhen Tanjiaci Alley Natural and Cultural Village at the entrance of the West area. We chose a family room with a bathtub 🛁. When the temperature rises in the afternoon, you can relax in the room and play with water 🫧. 🍜 Eat • 𝗳𝙤𝙤𝗱 We had dinner at the guesthouse restaurant. The ingredients were fresh and the taste was great. After dinner, there were live singers and outdoor movies! The serene and leisurely atmosphere swept away all our fatigue from the day~ 🎠 Play • 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙮 The guesthouse has a library, swimming pool, camping area, pet park, and even a pet swimming pool. In your free time, you can arrange handicraft activities for the kids. We really love this one-stop family-friendly village guesthouse! After sunset, we headed to the West area. 🎏 Here is the internal tour route of the West area: Muxin Art Museum > Grass and Wood Dyeing Workshop (great for photos!) > Water Market (feed koi, drink morning tea) > Zhaoming Academy > Yue Lao Temple > Xuchangluo Art Gallery (smoke slice science) > Wuzhen Old Post Office > Rowing Boat (enjoy the night view of Wuzhen, breathtaking) In the evening, around 5/6/7 PM, there is a summer water-splashing festival on Liang Street/West Street! 🌯 West area snacks: Scallion Pancake, Dingsheng Cake, Osmanthus Cake, Lamb Noodles, Osmanthus Glutinous Rice, Braised Duck As one of the representative ancient towns of Jiangnan water towns, Wuzhen is worth experiencing!
