The only remaining Alila hotel in China

Wuzhen Alila is the last remaining hotel of the luxury brand Alila under Hyatt in China. Since the closure of Alila Anji and Alila Yangshuo, friends who want to experience this brand can only choose Wuzhen. The overall style adheres to minimalism, using light tones, which easily induces a relaxed state. The hotel draws inspiration from the intricate canals and lanes of Wuzhen, integrating modern architecture and the gentle flow of water into the tranquil scenery. The hotel offers a wide variety of breakfast options, including many local specialties such as Wuzhen black rice siu mai and wontons. Next to the hotel is a wetland park, where you can choose to take a Wupeng boat tour; the gym has an infinity pool, but I went at the end of March, and it was still a bit cold; guests are given complimentary tickets to the Wuzhen scenic area. The Alila brand originated in Bali, Indonesia, but its founder is the American Mark Edleson. The biggest feature of Alila hotels is their 'exquisite location and unique design,' which always brings a refreshing experience to guests, just as 'Alila' means 'surprise' in Sanskrit. This is also why I, as a Marriott fan, specifically chose to experience this Hyatt brand. Although Alila Anji and Alila Yangshuo have closed, Alila is speeding up on another track. The new Alila Shanghai urban resort hotel (formerly the Four Seasons Hotel Pudong, transformed) is set to open in the second half of this year. It seems that Alila is also starting to follow a development path suitable for China's national conditions, beginning to venture into large cities and their surroundings.
