How could it be missing from the list of traditional cherry blossom viewing spots in Tokyo!

The cherry blossom season in Tokyo is getting more and more competitive, as new popular cherry blossom viewing spots are constantly being developed. However, in the traditional guides, the list will still include this place—Ueno Onshi Park. Ueno Onshi Park, along with Shinjuku Gyoen, Nakameguro, and Chidorigafuchi, has always been one of the hotspots for cherry blossom viewing in Tokyo. Since I was going to the Tokyo National Museum, I took the opportunity to stroll through Ueno Park as well. Even on weekdays, Ueno Onshi Park is crowded during the cherry blossom season. In early April this year, the cherry blossoms in Ueno only bloomed to 80% because it has been too cold in Tokyo recently. Walking down a road filled with cherry blossoms, at the end is a temporary food market, and beyond the market is the Tokyo National Museum. So whether or not you're there for the cherry blossoms, Ueno Onshi Park and the Tokyo National Museum can be visited together. To be honest, if you're just looking at cherry blossoms, the density and beauty of the blossoms in Ueno Park are actually not as good as those at Wuhan University. But as the saying goes, since you're already here, it's worth visiting the park + museum, and the Ueno shopping district itself is also nice to explore. So setting aside half a day for it is quite OK.
