Lake Sayama (Yamaguchi Reservoir) Straddling the border between Tokorozawa City and Iruma City, this man-made lake was completed in 1934 as a water reservoir for Tokyo. Unfortunately, it was cloudy on the day I went, but I was able to see several kinds of wild birds. I think it's a good place for running, walking, and bird watching. I'd like to go back on a sunny day. The nearest station is a 15-minute walk from Seibu-Kyōjō-mae Station on the Seibu Sayama Line, but I walked there from Lake Tama.
