Wat Phiphitthamongkhon

A beautiful temple with outstanding architecture, located in Thung Saliam District, Sukhothai Province, under the Mahanikaya sect. Originally, this temple was an abandoned temple in the middle of a rice field, probably around 700 years old. There is no historical evidence, only the foundations of the ordination hall and the pagoda were found. Later, Phra Ajarn Phiphut Mongkhon, the abbot, founded and developed the temple until it had its current identity. Inside the ordination hall, there is a golden Buddha statue, with beautiful Sukhothai-Lanna art for visitors to admire its beauty and study its history. Read more at h
